Resources for Spiritual Growth for Adults

“Spiritual Formation is a process of being conformed to the image of Christ, a journey into becoming persons of compassion, persons who forgive, persons who care deeply for others and the world, persons who offer themselves to God to become agents of divine grace in the lives of others and their world – in brief, persons who love and serve as Jesus did." ~ Invitation to a Journey by M. Robert Mulholland, Jr.

See below for resources that can assist you in your journey of spiritual growth.

The Christ Church Labyrinth

We invite you to explore the labyrinth and consider adding this contemplative spiritual practice to enhance your walk with God. The CUMC Labyrinth is open to everyone to walk at any time. However, please note there are times the patio/labyrinth area is regularly used by the CUMC Childhood Enrichment Center, Kids Ahead and other groups within the church as well as community groups that reserve the space. If the labyrinth/patio area is occupied, please return another time.  To learn more about the labyrinth or to schedule a walk for your group, please contact Ellen Lloyd at EllenBLloyd@gmail.com.

Activities for All Generations

Gratefulness – On this website for spiritual formation, you can watch an inspirational video, walk a virtual labyrinth, and send uplifting e-cards. You can also light a virtual candle on the “Light a Candle” page of the website. There are directions to walk you through the process, which includes time for reflection and the opportunity to enter a prayer concern. After you virtually click on the wick of a candle to light it, it stays on the website with other candles for 48 hours. You can also click on candles that others have lit to pray for their concerns as well.

Build Faith Home Practices – Building Faith’s “Home Practices” are do-able, adaptable, fun, and meaningful. These activities can be used by households of all shapes and sizes.
